Dravid cracks 28th hundred; rises to 4th position !
By admin | November 25, 2009
Dravid scored 144 and India now are 600/4. VVS Laxman is batting with 56 and Yuvraj 50. This is Yuvraj’s 8th Test fifty.
This is the Wall’s 28th hundred. He is now 4th in ICC Rankings with 11182 runs, behind Sachin, Lara and Ponting.
This happens to be a batting pitch and we can also expect good score from SL.
Wait a minute, the ball is turning.
India now are all out for 642 and SL are 66/1 in reply. Dilshan holed out to Zaheer for a duck and there is some rearguard action by Sangakara and Paranavithana.
India seems to be in a commanding position, as the ball is turning. More turn is expected on the last three days. 642 appears to be a formidable total.
Now the SL batsmen should not play defensive and go into a shell. If they do so, they will lose the match. Attack is the best form of defense and they should try to attack the Indian bowlers. P Ojha is playing in his first Test and he can be targeted.
Heavy responsibilty lies on the shoulders of Sangakara and Mahela. Hope they will ward off the Indian attack, from a SL perspective. !
On the other hand, India should keep up the pressure. Apart from Bajji and Ojha, India has Sachin, Sehwag and Yuvraj as part time spinners and SL is up against it .
