The aim of Yoga

By admin | September 20, 2008

This world is a movement of the Lord in His own being, one of the rhythms of Brahman. We are the centers of Divine Consciousness, which support the ripples of His movement. This world is His play with His self conscious delight and He alone exists in se. We are the self mutiplications of that Delight Absolute. The world is a rhythm, a formula, a symbol system expressing the Lord to Himself in His own consciousness; it has no material existence as such, but exists as a form of mental consciousness. We are the notes of His rhythm, terms of His formula, symbols of His system !

We are confronted with the negative qualities- imperfection, limitation, death, grief, ignorance & matter.Heaven and heavenly qualities are far, far away. We have seen death, but not Immortality. We know what is grief, but where is Bliss ? We have seen imperfection, and where is perfection ? So all talk about positive qualities seems poetic and not down to earth !

We have to understand that they - the negative qualities - are merely the first terms of the formula ! Deep within the Negative lies the Positive, deep within the outer surface of Negativity lies the Principle Divine ! The negative is merely the initial discord of the Musician’s harmony !

Out of imperfection we have to actualise perfection, infinity should be actualised out of limitation, out of Death Immortality, out of grief Divine Bliss, out of Ignorance we have to rise to Supreme Knowledge and out of Matter to reveal Spirit ! To work out this end for ourselves and for our brethren is the aim of our Yogic practice !
